Oakland's First Friday Art Walk, is a monthly city-wide event featuring premier art galleries, restaurants, bars, clubs and cultural venues.
The First Friday Art Walk was started in 2006 by ArtMurmur, a group of independant art galleries mostly located in the Uptown/Northgate districts. The popularity of the event exceeded anyones expectation and it has since spread across districts throughout Oakland.
